The Welcome Reception of the Symposium will be held at the Hotel Villa Cipressi on June 10, 2008. Villa Cipressi is a complex of buildings and gardens, rich in history, built mainly between 1400 and 1800. During the centuries, Villa Cipressi was the property of noble and aristocratic families. In 1980 it was purchased through a voluntary subscription by the people and friends of Varenna for a public use. Reconstructed in compliance with the pre-existing architectural lines by reconciling harmoniously antiquities with practicality, Villa Cipressi is now managed as a Hotel.
